St. Patrick's Day has never been a big deal in either of our families. But this year because I am trying to be more fun, I decided to start a green tradition. I invited Eric and the kids to a St. Patrick's Day party. We had a green dinner: green pasketti, green bread, fresh squeezed limeade, lots of green fruits and veggies and green ranch of course. The kids' favorite was the little pots of gold (hollowed out limes with mini lemon jigglers.) Then the kids followed the gold trail to where the leprechaun hid some prizes - a box of lucky charms, green bubbles and new sidewalk chalk. We had really cute green cupcakes with rainbows made from slices of airheads. I didn't get a picture, but here is the idea that I used.
It was a lot of work, but so worth it. When will I ever have my kids this age again. When things calm down and life gets easier and they are in college? I don't think it will mean as much to them then as it does right now!

You are such a cute mom and I am going to steal your idea on the kids day! That would be so fun to do. You are so creative in a lot of different catagories.

That's so cute. It was about 5 at night when Matt told me I wasn't wearing anything green. oops! I've been meaning to call you. I want you guys to come over and see the babies and the kids can play! Let me know when a good time for you is. I'm home all the time. I have been working from about 4-6 though, and Asher goes down at one or two so let me know when is good for you.
Wow Mindy, you are amazing! I want to come to one of your dinners or parties! :) Your kids are so lucky to have such a fun mom. I can't wait to see you and your mom in a few weeks!
